The trip takes one hour to reach Chillihuani (3,887 meters above sea level), where the hike begins. You’ll be accompanied by our tour guide. For the hike, we’ll give you a walking stick to help you along the way. At this point, the cold forces you to bundle up; you’re among the mountains, and the view is incredible.
You begin the hike on a flat trail with some gentle climbs. This journey lasts an hour, surrounded by pristine nature. Along the way, you’ll see llamas and alpacas, animals native to the mountain range.
Take a deep breath. You’ve reached the starting point of a very steep trail. At your feet is the Rainbow Mountain, but to get a great view, you must climb to the top of the mountain next to it, which is the viewpoint. The climb takes 30 minutes.

Despite the lack of oxygen and the cold, you’ll be satisfied with having managed to conquer the summit.

Breakfast at the hotel.
You’ll depart from your hotel early to travel to Maras. Along the way, you’ll be able to see the great mountain range, made up of enormous mountains, with incredible views that are also surrounded by magnificent nature.
You will arrive at Maras, to a impressed famous Salineras, where you will see more than 3,000 salt pools, nestled in the heart of the Andean hills. It is from this place that salt is currently extracted using traditional and ancestral methods, as the Incas and settlers were also the ones who extracted salt. An incredible place.

After experiencing the fascinating Salineras of Maras, with their thousands of dazzling salt ponds cascading down the mountainside, your adventure continues with a truly special reward—a Mountain View Picnic designed to engage all the senses.

Picture a beautifully prepared setting surrounded by the rolling landscapes of the Sacred Valley. A rustic yet elegant table awaits, filled with carefully selected local products that celebrate Andean flavors and traditions. At the center lies a cheese table, featuring a variety of artisanal cheeses—some creamy and delicate, others aged and bold—offering a perfect introduction to the region’s culinary richness. These are paired with freshly baked seed breads, each bite adding texture and heartiness.

To complement the savory flavors, a colorful display of dry fruits and seasonal fruits is presented. Imagine the sweetness of figs and raisins, balanced by the freshness of crisp apples, juicy pears, or vibrant Andean berries—changing with the seasons, just as the landscapes shift their colors throughout the year.

And of course, no picnic in such a breathtaking setting would be complete without a bottle of fine wine, carefully chosen to accompany the flavors of the table. Whether enjoyed in a toast among friends or sipped slowly while gazing at the towering mountains, the wine elevates the moment into something unforgettable.

This is not just a meal—it is an experience of harmony between nature and gastronomy. Surrounded by golden fields, snow-capped peaks in the distance, and the serene silence of the valley, the picnic becomes a time to slow down, to savor, and to connect with the essence of the Andes.

Then, time to say goodbye. Depending on your flight time, we’ll transfer you to the Cusco airport.
