Do you require a prepayment to secure a reservation?

Yes, we require a 50% prepayment of the program or tour cost, which must be made when you make your reservation to secure your reservation. The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in PERU.

What currency are the rates indicated on the website in?

It is in US dollars. Because it is an international currency and most countries use it more conveniently, you can exchange your currency for US dollars.

What documents do I need to travel to Peru?

We require your passport or national ID card, which you will use to travel to Peru. It must be valid for at least 6 months before your entry into Peru.

We use this information to make all reservations and purchase all your tickets, as applicable.

How will I be greeted at the airport upon arrival?

We will be waiting for you with a sign with the “VIBE JOURNEYS” logo and your name. We will be waiting for you at the airport where you picked up your bags.

How do I check into the hotels?

It will be in your name only, under the name “VIBE JOURNEYS” At the hotel reception, they will ask for your original documents for check-in. That will be the entire process for you to check into your room.

Is it possible to book only the tourist services without including accommodations?

On the WONDERS OF PERU program. Yes, we have special prices for tourist services only, and accommodations would be reserved at your own expense.

Please write to us on the reservation form, in the “comments” option, indicating that you only want the tourist services without including the hotel, and we will send you a special quote.

Where should I wait if I have a tour?

Please wait at the reception or lobby of your hotel; our team will ask for you there.

We will let you know the day before what time your hotel pickup time will be for your tour.

What are the trips from Lima – Paracas – Huacachina like?

The trips to these destinations depart from Lima and are relatively long. Therefore, the buses we use on this program have very wide and comfortable seats where you can rest and not feel the journey until you reach your destination.

To give you an idea, here are the bus times to reach each destination:

Lima – Paracas: 3 hours 10 minutes.
Paracas – Ica: 1 hour 25 minutes.
Paracas – Lima: 4 hours.

Is the boat ride safe for the Paracas tour?

Yes, this boat ride is very safe. We provide life jackets, and the boat doesn’t travel at high speeds.

In fact, this tour only operates in the morning to avoid the ocean surge. These procedures help ensure safe boat travel across the ocean.

What is the Huacachina tour like?

Huacachina is an oasis within the Ica dunes. Two adrenaline-pumping activities are offered here.

One involves riding through the dunes in dune buggies, which are sand vehicles that carry up to 9 people. These vehicles are equipped with all the safety equipment. This allows you to delve deeper into the dunes.

The other activity is sandboarding, a sport where you ride on a board and slide down the dunes. It’s a very fun activity.

You will always be accompanied by an instructor for these activities. Don’t worry, just have fun.

How should I dress for the Paracas – Ica – Huacachina tour?

The places you’ll be visiting are on the Peruvian coast, so the weather is very pleasant, but very hot. Considering the above, you should wear the following clothing:

• A hat or cap.
• Sunglasses.
• Sunscreen.
• A polo shirt or shirt.
• A windbreaker or jacket (which should be very thin).
• Pants or shorts.
• Light sneakers or tennis shoes (or sandals can also be worn).

But don’t worry, drinking some coca leaf tea (which is provided at hotels) and resting on the first day of your arrival in Cusco will be enough to feel comfortable and allow you to enjoy the tours as usual.

You do not have to pay any additional fees for any type of admission to the sites indicated in the program.

Is the trip to Machu Picchu included by train?

Yes, the trip to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) is by train, either with Peru Rail or Inca Rail, depending on the program.

Are the buses to climb Machu Picchu included?

The historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu is located on a mountain, and the easiest way to get there is by taking a bus that departs from the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) to the archaeological site itself.

That’s correct, the buses from Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) to Machu Picchu Sanctuary and Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) are included. There are two tickets, one uphill and one downhill.

Will I have free time inside Machu Picchu?

Yes, you will have free time at the Machu Picchu exit gate. Our tour guide will let you know before leaving that you may have some time left inside Machu Picchu.

You can stay for 1 hour and 40 minutes, through the exit door, so you can meditate, take more photos, and continue enjoying the wonder.

In total, you’ll be inside Machu Picchu for 4 hours and 30 minutes. This is enough time to explore Machu Picchu.

How many people are in the guided group at Machu Picchu?

The guide inside Machu Picchu is private, with an official tour guide just for you, so you can have a great experience of the Wonder.

What items can I bring into Machu Picchu and what not?

You can enter Machu Picchu with:

A small backpack, where you can carry a water bottle (if possible, a canteen is preferable), cookies, candy, some fruit, and nuts.

You are not allowed to enter or do anything inside Machu Picchu:

• Climb the walls.
• Enter with firearms or knives.
• Food (any elaborate dish), only snacks.
• Selfie sticks.
• Umbrellas (please bring a poncho or raincoat).
• Smoking or entering with drugs.
• No dancing or any obscene act.
• Entering Machu Picchu while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol.

For this reason, we schedule the Rainbow Mountain hike for the penultimate day of your trip, so you’re well acclimatized and don’t have any problems with the altitude.

Is there an age restriction for the Rainbow Mountain hike?

The hike is not recommended for anyone under 10 years old or over 70 years old, due to the altitude and lack of oxygen.

The altitude you will reach on this tour is 5,036 meters above sea level, where it can be very cold, so you should bring warm clothing:
